Owner of Captain Cook Coin Company Of Honolulu, Craig Watanabe, has over 54 years of experience in coins and collectibles and has been dealing since 1972.

The name of the business derives from the 1928 Captain Cook commemorative half dollar coin issued by the US Mint.

Craig has written articles for several coin publications and has provided info for the “Grey Sheet”, Coin World, Honolulu Star Bulletin & Advertiser and others, the former are among the few price guides for coins.

Craig is a Charter Member of ICTA (Industry Council for Tangible Assets). The national legal watchdog and government industry go-between for the rare coin, precious metals, and tangible assets industry.
